As we're now transitioning into GPI and the bulk of our digitising has moved out of LAPI and into GPI, I feel it's time to change our name. I've changed the title of the site to Global Plants Initiative (GPI) but that is all that has changed so the URL lapi.myspecies.info will still work.

The Sampled Red List Index (SRLI) team at Kew have got a great well established scratchpad that's worth a visit. The blogs area is a good place to start, with lots of useful links for digitising.

The Natural History Museum have a useful collector's database. There are two sections for Africa and Latin America, however I think they search the same database.
