I had a chat with LulĂș after we found some labels with Hooker written on them, but another collector's name was also present on the same label (Leguminosae legacy)

The case we discussed was Pithecellobium oblongum and this is what she explained to me: two syntypes are held at Kew. On one of them we have the stamp: Herbarium Hookerianum and the information on the label is Pithecellobium oblongum, Gulf of Fonseca, Sinclair. On the other one, the stamp Herbarium Benthamianum is present and the same information I just mention, but we also find extra information: 1842 (collection date) Hooker. By writing Hooker on the label, Bentham meant that a syntype of the same specie was held at the Hooker collection. Therefore, in similar cases, Hooker would not be the collector, neither the author or determiner.
